Therapy Assistant Practioners
NeuroPhysio have developed this service after recognising the lack of specialist skills within the existing neurological care structure.
Therapy Assistant Practioners
NeuroPhysio Therapy Assistant Practitioners (TAP) enable a greater consistency of prescribed treatment programmes.
Our therapy assistants are trained and supported by our expert neurological physiotherapy team and have enhanced neurological therapy skills. They can effectively provide you with additional rehabilitation as part of the therapy programme, under the guidance of the treating specialist neuro physiotherapist.
NeuroPhysio have developed this service after recognising the lack of specialist skills within the existing neurological care structure, particularly in providing therapy sessions between neurological physiotherapy consultations and in supporting people with specific therapy. Our TAPs have specific experience in assisting people recovering from neurological injury and complex trauma.
Therapy Assistant Practioners
NeuroPhysio will always arrange an in-person joint visit with the treating clinician, without charge for the therapy assistant’s attendance, to ensure that future sessions will be effective.
NeuroPhysio Therapy Assistant Practitioners provide feedback to the treating neuro physio to ensure that any issues are addressed or opportunities to progress are acted upon. NeuroPhysio Therapy Assistants receive regular neuro specific training to develop their clinical skills.
All clients will continue to be reviewed by one of our expert neurological Physiotherapists at regular intervals to review and progress the treatment programme.
Therapy Assistant Practioners
Our Therapy Assistants are registered as associate members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and have up to date DBS Disclosures, resuscitation, and manual handling training.
